Popsicles for Pinky Swear Fundraiser: July 1 – August 1
This summer, host a popsicle stand to fundraise for kids with cancer! Whether you set up a stand once or several times during the fundraising period, every dollar makes a difference. Participation is easy!
1. Get ready to create your stand!
- Buy popsicles at Hy-Vee or by shopping the collection on Hy-Vee Aisles Online. Hy-Vee offers so many brands and flavors to choose from, including options that are sugar-free, 100% fruit and yogurt-based.
- Create signs or print pre-made signs from pinkyswear.org.
2. Let the world know!
- Email, text or call family and friends to let them know.
- Share and tag @pinkyswearfoundation and @hyvee.
3. Make a difference!
- Throw your popsicles in a cooler and head outside!
- Send donations via check to Pinky Swear Foundation.

2022 Pinky Swear Fundraiser Register Round-Up: Sept. 12-25
Hy-Vee is excited to announce it will continue its support for the Pinky Swear Foundation by hosting a register round up at all Hy-Vee locations this fall! In honor of September’s National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, be sure to donate to kids with cancer by rounding up your purchase to the nearest dollar at checkout between Sept. 12-25 at your local Hy-Vee. The Story Behind Pinky Swear
What began as a promise between a father and his son has turned into a nationwide series of triathlons and family fitness events that fundraise for children fighting cancer.
Before 9-year-old Mitch Chepokas died of cancer, his dad Steve made a pinky swear promise with him to continue to help children with the disease. Today, Pinky Swear provides immediate needs support and unique family programs to families with children who have cancer. To accomplish this, the foundation holds youth triathlons in a dozen states across the country and encourages kids to fundraise and build support for other children in need.
